Works on hydrophobization of concrete pavement

During the reconstruction of the runway of the airfield of Ulyanovsk “Vostochny” the works on hydrophobization of the concrete pavement are being carried out.

Hydrophobisator is a special chemical solution that is intended to process building materials in order to protect them from the damaging effects of moisture.

The application of a water-repellent agent has a positive effect on the following runway characteristics:

– it improves water resistance and, as a result, the resistance of the pavement to atmospheric and chemical influences;

– it increases frost resistance and resistance to anti-ice reagents;

– it simplifies the removal of oil and fuel stains and other contaminants from the surface of concrete;

– it maintains the uniformity of appearance.
